Broadway /New York inspired Home theatre room

This was a unique exciting theme for us featured in the Utah Valley parade of Homes. The home owners love Broadway theatre so they wanted a Broadway inspired room. So we created an old faux brick wall and random 3-d bricks throughout the room, we used plaster and glazes to create real looking bricks that feel real as well then we painted and glazed the bricks for the aged look. We pasted broadway posters on the entrance pony wall to the theatre and sealed them in so they look and feel like they are a part of the wall. Then we aged the rest of the room and added bricks throughout. We really enjoyed this room and we are pleased with the way it turned out.

We just painted this cute cottage mural today. It took us about 8 hours to complete. This was a play area under the stairs we turned it into a cabin / cottage. It was fun to do because this mural could go with any theme. It could be a cottage from many stories such as Goldie locks and the three bears, The cottage from Snow white and the Seven Dwarfs, Sleeping Beauty's cottage, even a little Hobbit house from Lord of the rings. Everything is hand painted from the cobble stone to the hinges on the doors and shutters. This little cabin mural will serve for hours and hours of playtime fun!

We really enjoyed doing this Mural. We wanted to give this mural the feel of a whole new world coming out of the book. We really wanted it to feel Magical. It was exciting to hear the children's input while we were painting it, they were making the cutest comments!! It sparks creativity with the children and makes them want to read a book!! We hope all the children in this school will enjoy their Library Mural now and years to come!!

Theatre mural or Mural of a theatre

This is the faux finish we painted on the wall before we painted on the mural. We used a acrylic based wall glaze, to give it an old world look.

This is a flat wall, we painted it to have the illusion of looking into a theatre, the curtains are painted on also.

This is what you get when a client wants a play area under the stairs to be turned into a movie theatre themed play area. On the outside of this mural area we painted it to look like an old movie theatre. We painted a faux finish glaze over the surface first. Each side has a window so on one side we put a popcorn and candy 5 cents sign, and above the window on the opposite side we put a ticket sign. As you look in either window you can see the painted on concession stand with candy and popcorn on the shelves. On the back wall as you walk into the faux theatre it appears to have curtains drawn back so you can see into the theatre. You can see the rows of seats barely lit by the movie screen. beauty and the beast is playing on the screen. the clients last name was day so they wanted the sing out front to say 'Day theatre'. This was a fun mural because it is very unique.

On the outside of the Mural We have the London night sky and on the inside of the playroom area we have Neverland painted. We were asked to help build this float along with others as a service project, it was a great experience. Hours and hours of paper mache, sculpting chicken wire and painting but we had lots of help. We love the way it turned out. The theme is 'If I could I would live in Candyland.'

Old World Fresco wall finish with raised Fleur De Lis'

We plastered these walls with a fresco style texture. Then we added sculptured Fleur De Li's designs on one of the walls. After we primed then painted the base color on the wall we glazed over the walls to give them an old world appearance. It turned out very rich and warm.

The look of Old Plastered brick

We can do lots of cool specialty wall finishes like this one. This is a dimensional brick wall sample we made to appear as if the old plaster on the wall is breaking off to expose the brick underneath. This is a great finish for an old Tuscan or Old world look. It looks and FEELS like the real thing. We can do these bricks in any size or colors. We can also do faux stone (dimensional or painted) in all styles and colors for any look you are trying to achieve.

Cabinet door refinishes / sculptured cabinets

We refinished these cabinet doors and sculptured the front panels and distressed them we can do these and we are working on several new styles and colors.

This cabinet we put on raised leaves and painted the cabinet a cream color and then we distressed it with a glaze.
These cabinets are bronze leafed....These were plain cabinets that were light oak colored so we primed them with a barn red primer and then painted them black, added a fleur de lis' relief on it, distressed the black, then we bronze leafed it over the black..it is so stunning, the photos don't do them justice!!

Here is a photo of the sculptured/bronze leafed cabinets all together finished. We also made the countertops in all these photos.

We refinished this old bathroom vanity. Before we got to it, it looked like something you would throw to the dumps, the wood was old and needed a good sanding. We sanded it down sculptured the panels, painted and glazed it. We also made the countertop out of a resin and faux painting.

We did grape leaves in the panel of this cabinet then painted it a copper color and glazed it with a black over the copper. These look much more stunning in person.

Peter Pan Fantasy mural

So what do you do when you have a client that wants a Mural with Peter Pan, unicorns, fairies, pirate ship, treasure chest, clouds, rainbow, mermaids, waterfalls, and an ocean? You paint it!!! This room all three of us painted (Angela, Amy and Eva) . We really enjoyed this room it is very magical! check out our photos! In the small entry room you walk in and Peter is ready to fly out the window with tinkerbelle above him, on the opposite wall Nana (the dog nurse maid) is in front of the bed watching Peter Pan and tink. On the other side of the window (when you go through) is a fantasy land like neverland. There is a pirate ship, mermaids, unicorn, water falls etc..

This was a good mural for us because there are not allot of basketball murals out there. We live in Utah so we were excited to do the Utah Jazz mural. So we painted the wall to look like a locker room, we painted on some bricks and a locker that appeared to be slightly opened. Above the headboard we painted on the back part of the basketball rim. Our client was intending to hook a Nerf ball rim to the front of it.

Mickey Mouse toon town House Mural

This was a great idea for a play area under the stairs. Our clients are crazy about Disney so they had us paint their play area under the stairs to look like the Mickey Mouse toon Town house. Mickey and Minnie are inside cuddling on the couch, you can peak in the window and see them.

Fairy room

This mural is so cute. It has several fairies (about 6 inches tall each) flying around the room. Behind each fairy is a trail of sparkly fairy dust following them. Above the headboard we hand painted the phrase 'I do believe in fairy tales' ....We also painted large flowers around the bottom half of the walls all around and a few fairies are resting in the flowers and sprinkling sparkly fairy dust on them.

Fruit painting in a dining room

Eva painted this fruit mural for a client last year. The client had fruit painted over her door before that was very similar to this one but she was remodeling and so she needed to paint over her old one. So she asked Eva to paint new one to replace her old one. When Eva was finished with it the client said she thought Eva's painting looked much better than the one that was there before.

We had a client show us a picture of another artist's cabin mural. she wanted it to be the same except her mural was going to have an entrance into a play area through the door. We changed it a bit so it wouldn't be the same as the picture. We like the way it turned out. It was in a hallway so it was very hard to get a stright forward shot of it.

Chicago cubs Mural

We love this mural. Our client wanted a Cubs room so we painted on three jerseys with the numbers of his favorite players. The Jerseys really look like they are hanging there. If you look at a close up shot you can see we tried to make it look as if the pegs were really sticking out of the wall. We also painted a Wrigley's field Stadium sign above the window.

We didn't choose the red background color but we still like the way this painting turned out. The intention of the mural was to make it appear like you were in a jail cell and looking out the window at the black pearl pirate ship form Pirates of the Caribbean. We used and airbrush to paint the moon and clouds and regular acrylic and latex paints for the rest.

We had fun with this mural. The reason there is a basketball berried in the sand next to the treasure is because our clients son plays basketball and they wanted to find some way to incorporate a basketball into the pirate themed mural. When we were all finished with the mural the boys (who lived in that room) asked us to paint some monkeys. So we painted three mischievous monkeys into the mural.
